Playing fast and loose with time lines here!
First of all I did a few 5k Walk Runs (Since discovered called "Jeffing" all around the 40-45 min mark.
My cheapo Amazon running shoes were already not good enough (fine to walk to dog in though). so new ones were ordered.
They arrived on Thursday. Asics Patriot 12. Not the most snazzy but I need to know I will use them enough to justify an expensive investment.
On Saturday I proved every kid right! They made me go faster! I managed a 5k in less than 40 mins!!!
By Sunday I had discovered and joined the brilliant Lonely Goat Running Club. - very worth looking into.
So the 'cheat' here is only the shoe photo is from this week, the others were all ordered this week but came afterwards - but its my blog so I'll do what I like!
I wanted something to mark the breaking of a barrier for me so I looked for a medal and stumbled across www.lonelygoat.com the community on Facebook seemed so welcoming. I decided to virtually joiin them.
Little did I know that colour choice was such a big decision - only picked yellow because of Sutton United!
After the medal arrived I got it engraved.. So all happened this week just photos done later.
